As an official side event of RightsCon 2025 in Taipei, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) partnered with artist Ting-Ting Cheng to present the exhibition ”They told me it’s not your fault. And I told them everything will be fine.”
Building on the acclaimed 2024 edition, this year, FNF collaborated with Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB) and the artist to adapt this exhibition into a bilingual format, broadening the discourse on Technology-facilitated Gender-based Violence (TFGBV) for an international audience.
This exhibition examined the concerning realities of TFGBV and invited visitors to experience the topic through an immersive journey. Visitors navigated distinct scenarios, followed instructions on smartphone screens, and listened to voice-overs that connected the emotional and political aspects of digital violence. A total of over 500 international visitors viewed the exhibition, and they filled the visitors’ book with heartfelt messages and reflections. The exhibition heightened public awareness and compassion for TFGBV while fostering a safe environment for dialogue about gender and human rights in the digital era. The exhibition reached out to the general public and was even featured in VOGUE Taiwan.
